That's the case when the Service Provider is the only delegate of the survey!
Business Case: 3rd party organization, e.g. an external laboratory, requires having limited access to the defined survey/s in the case.
Details: This business case can be applied when you need to provide access to the task, which is to be completed by an external laboratory. Depending on the support role and level of the Patient’s Identified data which is to be available to the provider, you may need to make the representative of the provider as the main assignee on the Survey within the protocol and limit or allow them to see the patient’s PI data, e.g.
an external laboratory may only need to work with Case ID and patient ID which is marked on the test tube, thus they do not need access to the Patient’s PI data, just fill in the Characterization surveys.
A technician in the same Hospital may need to work with the specific task (e.g. if they need to complete the X-ray, MRI or any other functional and requires the access to patient’s PI data).
Key aspects:
Service Provider can see, complete and edit only tasks assigned to them
Service Provider can reassign the task to another Service Provider/Laboratory member if the task is not completed
Service Provider doesn’t see any patients’ PI data. All the personal info is anonymized (Service Provider sees only Patient ID, Case ID). The icons to see patients’ data are not displayed.
How to set up this access:
Go to the Protocols tab and switch to the required protocol version
Select the required survey
Select Service Provider in the field Delegate
Start typing in the “Search on Service Provider” field to search on the required Service Provider and select the Service Provider from the suggested list
Click SAVE at the top right of the screen
After case creation, the tasks assigned to Service Provider will automatically fall to the Service Provider’s Task Overview screen
